Week 7 : Challenges To Sustainable Development 

In today class in week seventh, our main topics are discussed about challenges to SDGs in social, economic and eviromental aspect


Despite SDGs had general challenges itself that might be happen in our current life and it always inequalities to education acces, health facilities, food and clean water. This all major general challenges might be happend in our communities for example might be some people who have an difficulties to have a similar education acces like others. Besides, we have seen some states dont even have to acces the clean water. 


Sustainable development faces several key challenges, including instability, implementation barriers, and governance issues. Instability whether economic, social, or political can disrupt progress and hinder long-term planning. Implementation challenges arise when there is a lack of resources, coordination, or infrastructure to effectively execute sustainability initiatives. Governance also plays a critical role; poor leadership, corruption, and lack of transparency can significantly weaken efforts to achieve sustainability goals. To overcome these obstacles, it is essential to strengthen governance, ensure stability, and enhance implementation frameworks through coordinated and strategic actions.

WEEK 4 : INTERNATIONAL FRAMEWORK OF SDGs

  In this fourth week of class, we learned more about the various conventions and declarations that have taken place from the earliest ones up until today. Besides that, Dr. Suhaimi also taught us about the meaning of sejahtera and how the concept of sejahtera is implemented within the framework of sustainable development. 1.  Global Conference for Sustainable Development We also learned about how the first convention on sustainable development was held in Stockholm in 1972. This convention focused mainly on issues concerning the Earth's environment and the challenges faced by humanity. In addition, developed countries, such as Malaysia, were urged to take responsibility for protecting the environment, as environmental problems had become severe and increasingly politicized.
