WEEK 5 : SEJAHTERA AS LOCAL CONCEPT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Image
In the fifth week, we continued from last week’s topic, focusing on Sejahtera as a local concept of sustainable development. One important highlight from this class was that Dr. Suhaimi began the session by asking the students whether they were familiar with the Madani concept currently being promoted in Malaysia by our Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim.  Basically, what we learned about localising, its generally about how a certain product or services fullfill their expectation and needs of their customer by keep it their identity. Meanwhile Localising sustanaibility it more about adapting sustainable practices to fit the needs of a specific area. It involves working with local people and organizations to create projects that protect the environment and benefit the community. This can include promoting green technology, supporting small businesses, using renewable energy, and protecting natural resources.
