WEEK 4 : INTERNATIONAL FRAMEWORK OF SDGs
We also learned about how the first convention on sustainable development was held in Stockholm in 1972. This convention focused mainly on issues concerning the Earth's environment and the challenges faced by humanity. In addition, developed countries, such as Malaysia, were urged to take responsibility for protecting the environment, as environmental problems had become severe and increasingly politicized. Developed nations were also seen as playing an important role in supporting sustainable development worldwide, especially through financial assistance and resources
2. Sejahtera
What was interesting is that we learned about the evolution of the SDGs, which initially had only eight goals but have now expanded to seventeen. In addition, we explored the meaning of sejahtera, which refers to the condition of humans living in prosperity and harmony. This concept is also closely linked to reminders found in religious teachings, encouraging us to live peacefully and prosperously together.
